Hungry Tomato is a young forward-thinking children’s publisher based in Cornwall. We work with both award-winning and brilliant up-and-coming illustrators and authors to produce high interest, non-fiction, soft learning books.
Our mission…is to switch kids onto reading with our fun, fact-packed books, whilst our art, activity and puzzle books will get kids into being creative, building projects and exploring nature away from the TV.
With worldwide appeal, our books are designed to stimulate and engage a child’s natural curiosity both in school and at home, wherever that home may be.
MEET THE TEAM
John Twiggs
Publisher
John has worked in publishing for many years, and enjoys sharing his love for non-fiction.

When John isn't in the office, he's out walking with Scout or playing golf!
Sharon couldn't do without books, and loves sharing them with her nieces, nephews and grandchildren.

When Sharon isn't at her desk, she's walking Scout or playing golf. When all of that is done, she whips out the paints and canvas and tries her hand at abstract art!

Amy has been the Graphic Designer for Hungry Tomato for several years, and has loved seeing the company grow over that time!

When she's not in the office, Amy is out on long walks, reading in a coffee shop, or spending time with her friends and family.

Holly loves creating books for children all over the world to enjoy!

When she's out of the office, Holly loves long walks on the beach, playing board games, and getting lost in a good book!​

Millie is passionate about creating books that children will love and will remember long after they’ve grown up!
When Millie isn’t at her desk, she enjoys walking the coastal path and learning new songs on her ukulele.
Meg Holbrook
Marketing Assistant
Meg loves spreading the word about Hungry Tomato and Beetle Books around the world!

When she's not at work, Meg is on the beach, cooking pasta, or on the hunt for books to add to her ever-growing collection!

Scout has been the Office Supervisor for Beetle Books since the beginning!
​
When she isn't keeping an eye on everyone in the office (and making sure there's an equal amount of work and belly rubs going on), she's out walking the Cornish countryside or sneaking treats!
