Hungry Tomato is pleased to accept submissions from authors, illustrators and designers.

If an unsolicited manuscript or portfolio is to stand a chance of being accepted, we would advise you to check out our website and catalogue to see if your submission is in keeping with our publishing programme. Please note we don't currently publish children's fiction.

It is preferable to receive submissions via email, but please do check that the file size isn't too large before sending (ideally under 5MB). We will accept submissions via post, but do not return manuscripts, so please make sure that you send a disposable copy (it will be recycled) and not something that you would like to be returned).

We only buy world rights in all languages, so if your book is already published in a territory or language, it is not suitable for us.

​

A literary agent is not required for submission.

​

No simultaneous submissions: we will not consider unsolicited manuscripts that are currently on submission to another publisher.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the large volume of submissions that we receive, Hungry Tomato will try and respond with feedback on submitted manuscripts where possible. However, if you have not heard from us within 8 weeks then your submission is likely to have been unsuccessful.
